4 Trapped 300-Ft Deep In Tamil Nadu Quarry, Chopper Helps With Rescue

At least four workers are trapped in a quarry or an open-pit mine in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, while two people have been rescued so far, police said today.

“A truck carrying the workers is trapped about 300-feet deep on a cliffside in the quarry,” an official said, adding that a chopper has been deployed for the rescue operation.
