Stalin’s Top Announcements To Mark 1 Year As Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin on Saturday made several announcements as the DMK government completes one year.
Breakfast scheme for government school students for classes 1-5, schools of excellence, medical check-up of school students, PHC (Public health centre)-like centres in urban areas and the expansion of ‘CM in your constituency scheme’ were the five announcements the 69-year-old leader made in the state assembly, news agency ANI reported.
The ‘CM-in-your-constituency’ scheme is a public grievance redressal scheme that will now be expanded across all the constituencies of the southern state.
The DMK-Congress coalition last year won the state elections with a handsome majority as the AIADMK was voted out of power after a decade.
Earlier on Saturday, the Tamil Nadu chief minister paid tributes to his father and former CM Karunanidhi and DMK founder C.N. Annadurai at their Marina Beach memorial.
He was also seen traveling with locals in a public bus – his office shared pictures of him interacting with locals on one year of his governance.
“On the occasion of the completion of one year of his tenure as Hon’ble Chief Minister @mkstalin, a chronological book titled ‘One Year of Oya Labor – Carrying the Dreams of a Millionaire Tamils’ has been prepared on behalf of the Department of Mass Communication. (sic),” his office wrote in a tweet in Tamil.
“He also published a one-year achievement flower titled ‘One Year of Oya Labor – A Sustainable Journey to Satisfactory Growth’. (sic).”
