Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal Resigns Citing Personal Reasons
Anil Baijal resigned as Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor on Wednesday. He submitted his resignation to President Ram Nath Kovind citing personal reasons, sources said.
Anil Baijal took over as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on December 31 in 2016.
He completed five years in office on December 31, 2021. There is no fixed tenure for the post of Delhi Lieutenant Governor.

He is a former IAS officer of the 1969 batch from the Union Territory cadre
Earlier, he presided as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and headed important public sector companies such as Prasar Bharti and Indian Airlines.
