Germany Launches ‘Feel Good’ Campaign To Promote Sustainable Travel
Germany has registered record growth in Indian visitors during the first half of 2022, and with more visitors drawn towards sustainable experiences, it is now pushing even more harder in an attempt to expand the base.
As per the latest reports, Germany has now launched its Autumn/Winter campaign, which is aimed at encouraging travellers to visit and experience its sustainable and diverse culture. As per the campaign, Germany is the ultimate European destination to travel sustainably, with focus on unspoilt landscapes, authentic cuisine, urban attractions, and historical locales.
As per the information shared by German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in India, the ‘Feel Good’ campaign will comprise of a host of guiding tips that will be highlighting the country’s eco initiatives, and thereby offering conscious travellers with adequate tools and information on how to reduce their carbon footprint while touring different regions.
If reports are to go by, the campaign is one of the various initiatives undertaken by the German National Tourism Board to meet the goals set by the German Environment Agency to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65 percent by 2030, and complete neutrality by 2045.
Revealing more in this, Romit Theophilus, Director the German National Tourist Office added that Germany will continue to position itself as one of the Indians’ all-time favourite destinations with easy accessibility and valuable tourism experiences that can cater to all travel desires.
For the Indian market, focus will be on creating awareness and offering eco-friendly and sustainable things to do to promote Germany as a responsible and sustainable tourism destination, he elaborated.
Romit further added that Germany’s ‘Feel Good’ campaign offers the right advice and tips to enjoy sustainability on the move in the country. Not only can travellers reduce their ecological footprint, but they can also calculate their carbon emissions through CO2 calculator, ensuring their trip is climate neutral and as sustainable as possible, he added.
