IPL Auction 2023 Updates: Sam Curran To PBKS For Rs 18.5Cr, Uncapped Vivrant Sharma To Sunrisers Hyderabad For Rs 2.6Cr

England’s Sam Curran and Australia’s Cameron Green shattered the all-time Indian Premier league (IPL) auction record as they were picked for Rs 18.50 crore and Rs 17.50 crore respectively by Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.

Two other England stars Ben Stokes and Harry Brook also went for high prices as Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad picked them for Rs 16.25 crore and Rs 13.25 crore respectively.

West Indies wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran was sold to Lucknow Supergiants for Rs 16 crore while South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen has been picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 5.25 crore. So far, five players have gone above Rs 10 crore.

Uncapped all-rounder Vivrant Sharma has been picked by SRH for Rs 2.60 crore. SRH also bought Mayank Agarwal For Rs 8.25 crore. Among the pacers, Reece Topley was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.90 crore.

England spinner Adil Rashid was smartly picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2 crore. This year’s auction will see 405 players going under the hammer.
