Arunachal Pradesh Launches E-ILP Portal To Facilitate Travel Of Toruists
As per the latest development, Arunachal Pradesh has now launched a portal for the issuance of e-Inner Line Permit (eILP) to facilitate travel of tourists.
If reports are to go by, the latest development will ensure tourists enjoy a faster, more convenient, and smoother entry into the state.
Arunachal comes under the Inner Permit Regime protected under the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873, because of which tourists are required to acquire ILP to visit the state. Now, if reports are to go by, this e-ILP portal, which has been developed by the state’s IT department, has been launched exclusively for tourists.
Taking to Twitter, Chief Minister Pema Khandu added, “The eILP launched today is a great step to serve exclusively the tourists and smoothen their entry to the state. It will ease the process of obtaining ILP. There would be no waiting period for tourist eILP. Application, approval process is simplified.”
He further added that the ID card-based registrations with mobile OTP-based self-verification and QR Code-based digitally issued ILP, will be used and verified by police personnel at check gates using specially designed mobile-based application, the Chief Minister added. He further informed that it will also facilitate faster movement of tourists.
Arunachal Pradesh is India’s remotest state and is also the first Indian destination to see the rising sun. Located on the northeastern tip of India, this beautiful land has borders touching China, Bhutan and Burma (Myanmar), and is a delight for tourists who are keen to explore the Northeastern region.
