It seems for Facebook Inc this week has been pretty bad as it faced a second global outage on Friday, the first being on Monday. However, this time it was for only two hours in comparison to the previous one that lasted for six hours.

Meanwhile, Facebook Inc has apologised to its users for a two-hour disruption to its services on Friday. The company blamed another faulty configuration change for its second global outage this week. Facebook said that the latest outage impacted Instagram, Messenger and Workplace.

“Sincere apologies to anyone who wasn’t able to access our products in the last couple of hours,” the company said. “We fixed the issue, and everything should be back to normal now,” it added. Users however took this interruption with a pinch of salt. They took to Twitter to share memes and jokes about it.

This week on Monday Facebook and its sister companies faced a nearly six-hour global outage possibly because of a ‘faulty configuration change’. This led to 3.5 billion users being prevented from accessing its social media and messaging services like WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

The global outage led to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg losing USD 7 billion and stocks of the Silicon Valley firm going down by nearly 5%. Reports say the outage on Monday was the largest that web monitoring group Downdetector had ever seen.
