Gal Gadot To Receive Star On Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame
Gal Gadot will receive a star on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame,” becoming the first Israeli actor to receive the honor.
“This is unbelievable. I’m so, so grateful and thankful and humbled,” Gadot said after Hollywood’s Chamber of Commerce announced next year’s honorees on Monday.
Over two dozen entertainers from the fields of movies, television, music, and theater will receive stars next year as part of the Walk of Fame’s “Class of 2024.”
Gadot said in a video posted to Instagram that she found out about the award from her husband, who heard from the Israeli press.
“I had absolutely no idea,” Gadot said, adding that the award would help inspire her to “continue doing what I love so much.”
Gadot said she had been doing publicity for the upcoming action film “Heart of Stone” when she heard the news. It was produced by Pilot Wave, the company owned by Gadot and her husband, Jaron Varsano.
Gadot’s co-star in the “Wonderwoman” films, Chris Pine, also made this year’s list for the Walk of Fame, alongside Chadwick Boseman, Christina Ricci, Michelle Yeoh, Toni Braxton, Gwen Stefani, Dr. Dre, Otis Redding, and Eugene Levy.
The honorees were chosen from among hundreds of nominations by a committee made up of “fellow Walk of Famers,” the announcement said.
Ceremonies for instating the stars have not yet been scheduled.
The Walk of Fame in downtown Hollywood recognizes major contributors to the entertainment industry. It is a landmark for the city, a major tourist attraction, and has more than 2,700 stars.
Gadot is the first Israeli actor to receive a star on the Walk of Fame, but Israeli producer Haim Saban received the promenade’s 2,605th star in 2017. Saban was the creator and producer of the hit show “Power Rangers.”
Gadot recently returned to the silver screen as Gisele Yashar in the last installment of the Fast and Furious series, “Fast X,” released in May.
