As Ganesh Chaturthi is around the corner, Mumbai gears up to celebrate the festival. Last-minute preparations are in full swing at the pandal of Lalbaugcha Raja.

Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal will celebrate the festival in a traditional way. On Thursday, Maharashtra govt said devotees won’t be allowed to visit pandals physically.

It added that arrangements should be made for digital darshan through Webcast. Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar also urged people to follow Covid guidelines amid celebrations. Last year, Lalbaughcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal refrained from holding the festivities.

This year, Ganeshotsav of Lalbaugcha will be organised by the Mandal from September 10-19. Maharashtra govt had earlier issued guidelines to restrict height of Ganesh idols to upto 4 feet.

Govt had also asked Ganeshotsav Mandals to seek prior permission from local administration. Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day festival & this year it will begin on September 10.
