Itvaar: An Immersive Painting Exhibition In Delhi By Manoj Chhabra And Pratap Somvanshi
The capital witnessed the grand opening of “इतवार: An Immersive Painting Exhibition by Manoj Chhabra and Pratap Somvanshi today at the iconic AIFACS Gallery, New Delhi.
” For the first time, this show blends art and poetry, bringing together the masterly strokes of Manoj Chhabra, Sahitya Akademi Awardee, and poets’ heartbeats in the verses penned by Pratap Somvanshi, the Managing Editor of Hindustan. The exhibition will be held from November 22 to 28, 2024.
The opening ceremony was grand, with the Jordan Ambassador, Anwar Haleem, as the Chief Guest and Himanshu Joshi, the lead singer of the Indian Ocean Band, as the Guest of Honour. The two luminaries commended the fusion of art, saying it incredibly recognized the cultural richness and ingenuity of integration across the divide.
Other guests of honor, including Prof. Khalid Alvi and Mr. A. Rahman, Advocate, Supreme Court, expressed their admiration for the artist’s talent for converting verses of poetry and strokes of paint into bursts of emotions and soul-searching.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Kiran Khanna, CEO of AIDA Story, captured the essence of the exhibition:
It is important to contribute to said cultural event and share sensitive experiences embodied by the union of words or colors and conveying emotions. We are very excited to finally share this remarkable art project with everyone and let them participate.
It gives visitors a direct insight into the artworks, where the paintings say something and poetry paints the pictures. All the artworks make you stop for a minute, relax, and get lost in art and artists’ masterpieces.
