Jacqueline Fernandez Questioned By Delhi Police In Rs 200 Cr Extortion Case
Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has joined the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police on Wednesday to record her statement in connection with a Rs 200 crore money extortion case linked to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
The 37-year-old arrived at the Mandir Marg office of the EOW in Delhi on Wednesday morning at around 11.30.
Moments after Fernandez’s arrival, Pinky Irani, the woman who had introduced the actress to Chandrashekhar, also arrived at the Delhi office to join the investigation. The officials will likely grill the two together in the matter.
The questions that will be asked to Irani and Fernandez have been prepared by the top brass officials to nail the lies of Chandrashekhar, IANS reported.
As per reports, officials have prepared a long list of questions for the actress, which includes her relationship with Chandrashekhar and the gifts, money that she received from him.
There are also possibilities that the Bollywood actress may be questioned for two or three days. Earlier in the first week of September, the EOW officials had recorded the testimony of another Bollywood actress, Nora Fatehi, in the case.
Chandrashekhar was arrested for allegedly cheating and extorting money from high-profile people, including former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh’s wife Aditi Singh.
Many Bollywood celebrities and models have been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for their alleged links to Chandrashekhar. In April 2021, he was arrested in a money laundering case.
