As Delhiites spring back into normalcy, the city has begun to witness some larger-than-life exhibits. And if you are a connoisseur of art, then this one is a must-see.

With the pandemic slowing down, Delhiites have surely found their feet, out and about of their homes. And why not, the art scene in Delhi at the moment is turning out to be such a delight. Delhi is currently witnessing one of its most awaited painting exhibitions ‘The Colours of Love’ at the 5-star Hotel Sheraton in Saket, handpicked and curated by none other than the renowned Vikram Sethi.

What catches the eye of many at this exhibit, among other artists, is the works of a gifted artist, Piyush Mathur. His vibrant use of colours exploring the enigmatic transcendent nature of the cosmos is turning out to be a showstopper here.

“Painting is beyond being a passion or profession to me. It is almost like meditation wherein a way you become oblivious to worldly pulls,”  Piyush says.

Driven by his search for new and innovative approaches, he believes that through observation, everything becomes more alive – be it a person, an act, or the lights and shapes of nature. Finding beauty and inspiration from surroundings and people around him, he believes that being an artist means to re-create life’s hues and expressions as you see and envisage them.

Working mostly on figurative and semi-abstract paintings nowadays, his palette alternates between bright and dark colors, contrasted aggressively to create masterpieces on canvas which continue to leave a lasting warmth on the walls of collectors.
