Neemach Mata Mandir Ropeway – Udaipur’s Latest Tourist Attraction
Udaipur has recently announced the official launch of the Neemach Mata Mandir ropeway, a new project by Damodar Ropeways and Infra Ltd (DRIL). The ropeway is positioned against the stunning backdrop of Fateh Sagar Lake, and is the iconic city’s latest and one of the most exciting attractions. The Neemach Mata Mandir ropeway provides an efficient link to the revered Neemach Mata Mandir.
This is DRIL’s second ropeway endeavour in Rajasthan following the success of the Savitri Mala Ropeway in Pushkar. The ropeway covers a total distance of 429.19 metres, thus reducing the somewhat-difficult climb to the temple from 45 minutes to a mere 3 minutes ride.
The Neemach Mata Mandir ropeway features 12 well-ventilated cabins with automatic doors, and the capacity to carry 400 passengers per hour.
The ropeway will operate daily from 7am to 8pm for the entire month of January, and the roundtrip ticket will cost just INR 185 per passenger. The ropeway runs on a mono cable fixed grip system, and ascends over a 500-foot elevation.
One notable aspect of the project is that several measures were taken into consideration in order to minimise the impact on the surrounding greenery. One can expect to see a lot of great scenery from up above. The beauty of the Southern Aravalli region will be something visitors will be able to enjoy from up above.
The inauguration of this ropeway marked a momentous occasion in Udaipur’s transportation landscape. It not only enhances connectivity and accessibility for the city’s residents but also provides a picturesque and swift journey for visitors to the temple.
Udaipur is one of the most visited tourist destinations in India and the city boasts several tourist attractions.
