The FIBA Europe Coaching Certificate stages for the coming year have been set as the prestigious program continues to develop coaches working with young talent.

The 2021-2023 cycle of the FECC will conclude at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Heraklion, Greece this summer as 56 coaches aim to receive their certificate at the final stage of the eighth edition.

The new course for 2023-2025 will then commence at the FIBA U16 European Championship in Skopje, North Macedonia with the national federations already receiving their invitations as applications run until March.

Legendary playcaller Pablo Laso – who won multiple European titles at Real Madrid – is a strong advocate of the program and forms part of the FECC Project Group alongside the likes of Svetislav Pesic and Pedro Martinez. Laso recently made a visit to the FIBA Europe offices in Munich.

“I had a great meeting with Kamil [Novak] at the very nice facilities of FIBA Europe. I am very committed to the FECC programme – it is a great chance for coaches who work with young players to further educate themselves.”

The long-running initiative dates back to 2007 and has established itself as one of the leading coaching programs in European sport.

The FECC offers coaches from Europe and around the world the unique opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. The certificate also offers the chance to network with other coaches and complete a program that will increase their basketball knowledge as well as enhance job prospects.
