PM Modi To Interact With CEOs, Experts Of Global Oil And Gas Sector Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to interact with the CEOs and experts of the Global Oil and Gas Sector on Wednesday, October 18, at 6 pm. The interaction will be conducted via video conferencing, as per a press release issued by the PMO.

According to the press note issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the interaction will be conducted to discuss the key issues involved in the oil and gas sector and potential opportunities in the future.

The PMO added that this is the sixth such annual interaction between the global experts and PM Modi, the first of which took place in 2016. The interaction will further focus on key issues of the sector and explore potential areas of collaboration and investment with India.

The press note further stated, “The broad theme of the upcoming interaction is the promotion of clean growth and sustainability. The interaction will focus on areas like encouraging exploration and production in the hydrocarbon sector in India, energy independence, gas-based economy, emissions reduction – through clean and energy-efficient solutions, green hydrogen economy, enhancement of biofuels production and waste to wealth creation.”

The statement further said that CEOs and experts from leading multinational corporations and top international organisations will be participating in this exchange of ideas, along with Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri.
