Saira Banu Has Left Ventricular Failure, Needs Angiography
A senior doctor attending to Saira Banu in the Hinduja hospital has said that the senior actress is out of danger and he is right.
Nothing to be attended immediately, but something that will need to be attended quickly. ETimes brings you an exclusive health update on Mrs Dilip Kumar, who has been hospitalised after complaining of breathlessness.
We spoke to the cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale (his father Dr Shrikant Gokhale was Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu’s family doctor) who’s attending to Saira Banu and he said, “She is fine, she has completely stabilised, and we will be moving her out of the ICU either tonight or tomorrow”.
And? Dr Gokhale pointed out that it’s a case of left ventricular failure, which will need an angiography. “It will be cured,” he added.
The angiography will be done in due course, maybe Saira Banu will be discharged and has to be admitted again for the procedure. “We first need to control her diabetes,” he further said.
A few hours ago, ETimes brought you Dharmendra talking about Saira Banu. Dharmendra said that Saira Banu and he had a small talk on the phone about four days ago, when Saira Banu had returned his missed call. “I couldn’t reach her and she had called back. She told me that she has not been keeping well“.
We, at ETimes, stand by Saira Banu in her health distress and wish her a full and speedy recovery.
What is Left ventricular failure?
Left heart failure occurs when there is dysfunction of the left ventricle, resulting insufficient delivery of blood to vital organs.
