Sensex rallies 500 pts, Nifty above 23,900; auto pack leads

The Nifty Auto index recorded the highest gains, rising by 0.9%, driven by stocks like Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, M&M, and Tata Motors, which advanced between 1% and 2.5%.

Sector-wise, all indices, except Nifty IT and Nifty Healthcare, were trading in the green around 9:30 AM. The Nifty Smallcap index gained 0.4%, while the Midcap index rose by 0.25%.

IndusInd Bank shares stood out, climbing 2.4% to an intraday high of ₹954.70 on the BSE, following news of the bank putting ₹1,573 crore worth of microfinance loans up for sale.
