On Tuesday 30 May, Swedish Minister for Rural Affairs Peter Kullgren chaired the Agriculture and Fisheries Council (AGRIFISH) meeting in Brussels. The agenda included the market situation following the invasion of Ukraine and the proposal on packaging and packaging waste.

“There were many important discussions during yesterday’s meeting, especially concerning the situation on the agricultural market – with regard to both Ukraine and drought-related crisis preparedness. The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, together with the European Commission, will now look into how we can best take these discussions forward.”
